Originally known as American Chalkboard in 1989, the company was re-named American Visual Display Products in the early 2000’s. AVD manufactures a wide variety of visual display boards to meet the growing needs of education and commercial customers. Touting the best warranty and writing surface in the industry, AVD is a certified PolyVision fabricator. As an environmentally conscious manufacturer, all markerboards and chalkboards include PolyVision e3, environmentally friendly Ceramicsteel®, and MBDC Cradle to CradleSM Silver Certification.
The use of imported materials has created good reason to doubt material content as seen by the recent use of imported drywall in the rebuilding of structures destroyed by hurricane Katrina. Products supplied by American Visual Display are manufactured with American made materials. Neff Specialties is comprised of several long term employees to the visual display industry. Capitalizing on this experience including design, specification, fabrication, and installation, Neff Specialties now provides a full line of display cases, directories, conference cabinets, and bulletin board cases, equal to the former designs of PolyVision and the current designs of Claridge and others. Materials include plastic laminate, wood veneers, tackable surfaces, writing surfaces, tempered glass doors, shelves, and panels; top and bottom framed or fully framed doors, sliding or hinged; aluminum angle and aluminum tube construction, lights, and locks.
